ABOUT US:

Kulewa Co is a Native Hawaiian brand, owned and operated by a mama of 4 - Taylor M, also known as Tita. Tita is a natural creative that loves DIY arts & crafts and would hand sew all items at one point of business. What started as a hobby back in 2022 - has expanded and turned into a full time business.

We started Kulewa Co in 2022, as a small business that specialized in boy clothing. Later in 2024, we rebranded our business and specialized in boutique Keiki clothing. Currently, we have expanded again - creating clothing & accessories for the entire Ohana. We are excited to see what the future holds for our brand.

Kulewa Co Mission Statement:

Here at Kulewa Co, we strive to perpetuate Hawaiian culture + values and the beauty Hawai'i offers - while creating clothing that is comfortable, stylish and demonstrates Aloha

We hope to inspire our communities and beyond to:

1. Aloha 'Āina (Love of the Land): to love and protect the land and sea by being mindful of our actions & resources, protect native ecosystems and support local

2. Lokahi (Unity): bring togetherness (Laulima) within our community to create something great for future generations

3. Kuleana (Responsibility): taking action to be impactful for generations to come

How did you get your business name "Kulewa Co"?

Our business name comes from our two sons names. Our oldest son, La'iKŪ + our younger son, LEWA. We combined both names and created "Kulewa Co". A lot of our prints are inspired by our Keiki (children), 'Āina (land) & island lifestyle.

What is "Likolehua Love"?

Likolehua is our youngest daughter"s name. She is named after the Ohi'a Lehua tree from my mother's front yard - commonly found/seen here in Big Island, Hawai'i.
